Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt want roles in 'Downton Abbey'.
The reality star couple - who were runners-up on 'Celebrity Big Brother' last month - have set their sights on the popular British period drama series after learning producers of the show are looking to write them parts as "villainous" American relatives of Dame Maggie Smith's character Lady Grantham.
Spencer told OK! magazine: "We are huge fans of 'Downton Abbey'.
"We have heard they might be looking to write us parts as villainous American cousins.
"We are big fans of Dame Maggie - and she is of us."
A source previously said: "Lady Grantham could have other relatives popping up from the US."
In the meantime, the couple - nicknamed Speidi - are set for a one-off TV show entitled 'The Speidi Story' on Channel 5 later this month, which will explore everything from their rise to fame on US reality show 'The Hills' to their recent stint on TV in the UK.
A spokesman for the show said: "Speidi have gone from being America's most loathed couple to a new UK phenomenon, thanks to 'Celeb Big Brother'. This is their story."
It is also thought the pair will be successful enough to have their own reality show series in the UK as their views towards Britain would create "explosive" viewing.
A source explained: "Speidi have been TV gold on 'Celebrity Big Brother' and are clearly no fans of the British.
"It makes perfect sense for them to bag their own explosive series here.
"Will Britain win them over or will they continue to mock everyone and everything?"
