Elton John confirmed to headline at Bestival 2013

The singer joins MIA, Franz Ferdinand, The Flaming Lips, The Knife, Bombay Bicycle Club & The Roots

Bestival organisers have announced today that Elton John will be headlining the notorious Isle of Wight Festival in September 2013. He joins a line-up that features Bestival exclusives MIA and Franz Ferdinand.

The festival is celebrating its tenth birthday this year and will take place in Robin Hill Country Park from the Thu 5-Sun 8 Sep. The Flaming Lips, The Knife, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Roots are also set to appear.

Amongst the acts that have been recently confirmed are Belle and Sebastian, Tom Odell, Sinead O'Connor, The Polyphonic Spree, Johnny Marr and The Walkmen, with many more to be announced.

It has also been confirmed that a Daft Punk tribute night will be held in the woods near the camping site.
