Jeremy Kyle vows to return to work
TV host Jeremy Kyle has pledged to return to presenting 'The Jeremy Kyle Show' next Wednesday (06.01.13), just weeks after discovering a cancerous tumour
Jeremy Kyle has vowed to go back to work next week.
The cancer-stricken TV host is allegedly "champing at the bit" to resume presenting his ITV programme 'The Jeremy Kyle Show' and hopes to return at the beginning of February, just weeks after he underwent surgery to remove a testicular tumour.
A friend of the 47-year-old star told The Sun newspaper: "Jeremy is your classic workaholic. He hates the fact he's not in the studio doing what he loves.
"He's been in touch with producers and told them not to get too comfortable as he'll be back on Wednesday (06.01.13). He has got a full series to do and doesn't want to let anyone down."
Jeremy's wife Carla flew out to join him abroad last night (30.01.13), where he is recuperating from chemotherapy and surgery to remove the "toxic" growth, which was found shortly before Christmas.
Fans of the straight-talking star have now taken to the internet to pledge their support and wishes for a speedy recovery after news of his secret battle with cancer broke.
His spokesperson said: "It's been really tough for him and his family. But he wanted to let you all know he appreciates your continuing support."
ITV commented: "We wish Jeremy well and are pleased he is making such good progress."
