Splash to return for second series
Celebrity diving show 'Splash!' is to move to the Olympic Park for a second series, with Tom Daley set to return as mentor.
'Splash!' will return for a second series.
The ITV celebrity diving show will move to the iconic Aquatics Centre at the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London - which was created for the London 2012 Olympic Games - for its second run, and Tom Daley will return as mentor.
The show could be filmed at its new Olympic Park home for two more years after its move from Inspire: Luton Sports Village.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Olympics bosses have said the show can come from their dive centre next year, which is amazing news.
"Tom should be back too - as long as he can juggle it with his diving commitments."
Despite the first series receiving some criticism - particularly for judge Jo Brand's lack of expertise - the London 2012 bronze medallist insists it has been a "success".
He recently explained: "It's light-hearted family entertainment on a Saturday night. It's amazing to have a minority sport like diving on prime time TV. If 'Splash!' can encourage even a handful of people to take up diving, it will have been a success."
'Sky Sports News' presenter Charlotte Jackson, The Only Way Is Essex' star Joey Essex, model Caprice and TV star Donna Air are among those who have competed on this year's debut series.
