Ant and Dec have joked they will "chin" Keith Lemon, Dermot O'Leary or Alan Carr if any of the trio beat them to their 12th Best Entertainment Presenter accolade in a row at the National Television Awards on Wednesday night (23.01.13)

Ant and Dec have joked they will "chin" whoever beats them to a National Television Award.

The 'Britain's Got Talent' co-hosts are hoping to win their 12th Best Entertainment Presenter accolade in a row at the ceremony on Wednesday night (23.01.13) at London's The O2, and while they face stiff competition from Alan Carr, Keith Lemon and Dermot O'Leary, they have made a contingency plan to take the prize anyway.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Dec quipped: "We might just take it off O'Leary if he wins it because there are two of us and we'd easily chin him. If Alan Carr wins it then we'll chin him, and Keith Lemon. There's two of us! So whoever wins it, we'll chin them and take it off them."

While the duo - who also front 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!', which is up for Best Entertainment Programme - acknowledge their long-running success at the NTAs will come to an end at some point, they just hope it doesn't happen this year.

Speaking at the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions at the London Palladium yesterday (20.01.13), they added: "There's going to be a day when you don't win it. One of these years it is going to come to an end, so every year we just hope it's not this year and it's the same again. Let's hope it's not this year! It could come to an end next year and then next year we'll go, 'I hope it's not this year.' Let's see.

"But we'll be here working, we won't be at the NTAs I don't think."

The glittering ceremony will air on ITV from 7.30pm on Wednesday.
