Boy George cried at new Bowie single

Boy George has revealed his excitement about the new David Bowie song 'Where Are We Now?' and has admitted he was reduced to tears when he first listened to the track.

Boy George cried while listening to David Bowie's new single.

The 'Karma Chameleon' singer was blown away by the music legend's track 'Where Are We Now?' - which he unveiled on his 66th birthday last week - and the melancholy song reduced him to tears.

Writing on his Twitter account, he revealed: "Bowie's new song has made me cry! Happy tears of course!"

The 51-year-old pop star is not the only famous Bowie fan to reveal his excitement on the social networking site.

CNN topical affairs host Piers Morgan was one of many who welcomed the 'Space Oddity' hitmaker's return.

He tweeted: "Love this new David Bowie song ... still the classiest guy in world music. Great to have him back."

Bowie shocked the world with his surprise return to music last week when he dropped the track, along with a video, and announced plans for a new album.

It is a decade since the release of 'Reality', Bowie's last record of original material, but March will see his return with 'The Next Day,' a new collection of 14 songs with three bonus tracks.

On its first day, 'Where Are We Now?' - helped by the release of its video - went straight to the top of the UK iTunes chart.
