Brendan Cole: Strictly is hardest job on TV
Brendan Cole found the latest series of BBC One's 'Strictly Come Dancing' exhausting and claims being a dancer on the show is the "hardest job" on TV
Brendan Cole claims 'Strictly Come Dancing' is the "hardest job" on TV.
The professional dancer - who was paired with Olympic gold medal-winning cyclist Victoria Pendleton on the last series of the BBC show - was so exhausted because of the arduous schedule, he wasn't too upset when he and Victoria were eliminated midway through the competition.
He explained to The Sun newspaper: "'Strictly' is one of the hardest jobs you'll ever do as an entertainer. You work ridiculous hours, seven-day weeks from August until the end of the year, and you're knackered. It's pretty much relentless."
The 36-year-old Latin American dance specialist and celebrity partner Victoria were the seventh pair to be eliminated from 'Strictly' last year, and Brendan says he enjoyed some much-needed rest after their exit.
He continued: "On one hand I was glad of the sleep, but on the other hand I was sad."
What's more, Brendan won't be getting much sleep at the moment as his wife Zoe Hobbs welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world on Christmas Day (25.12.12).
The latest series of 'Strictly' was won by Olympic gymnast Louis Smith and his professional partner Flavia Cacace last month.
