New 'Dancing On Ice' judge Ashley Roberts says she won't let Samia Ghadie's budding romance with her competition partner affect her criticism of her skating skills

Ashley Roberts insists she won't judge Samia Ghadie's personal life on 'Dancing On Ice'.

The Pussycat Dolls singer claims the rumoured romance between the 'Coronation Street' star and her ice skating partner Sylvain Longchambon - who recently dumped his girlfriend Jennifer Metcalfe because of his feelings for Samia - will not affect her chances of winning the ITV1 competition, but also admits she would "never" steal someone else's man.

New judge Ashley said: "I'm not here to judge her personal life - but I'd never even like a person who was with someone else. The answer will always be no. It's just not right.

"I'm aware of what Samia's going through but I don't know where her head is. I've not spoken to her about it as it's not my place. I'm here to judge her performance on the ice."

The 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' runner-up is enjoying her new role on the panel alongside Robin Cousins, Karen Barber and Jason Gardiner, but the American beauty hasn't been impressed with Samia's lacklustre footwork so far and wants to see a lot more passion in her performances.

Ashley, 31, added in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "Her skating was great but I definitely want to see more fire, more punch, more attack. I'm looking for lots of passion on the ice, because if you're not passionate it's no fun.

"If you don't give yourself completely over to the performance, the audience won't enjoy it, I won't enjoy it, so why are you there? I need to see that fire. And if I don't, I'll be honest about it.

"If you commit to something like this you need to show up, regardless of anything else. Samia has a lot of potential, so I'm excited to see how she progresses - if she sticks around."
