Jason Orange to star in Shameless
Take That singer Jason Orange is set to guest star in Channel 4 show 'Shameless' as DJ Scouse Mouse during the programme's last ever series this spring.
Jason Orange is to guest star in 'Shameless'.
The Take That singer will be appearing in the popular Channel 4 show as DJ Scouse Mouse, who will front a mini music festival on the programme's fictional Chatsworth estate.
Jason, 42, will be in disguise for his cameo, starring alongside regulars such as Frank Gallagher - who is portrayed by David Threlfall - but will reveal his identity when he takes the mouse outfit off during a special scene after the credits.
A show source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "[Jason] had a great time on set and was line perfect for a triumphant TV acting debut.
"But it's hard to say who was more excited about it - him or the production team."
Jason can be seen in the seventh show of the new 14-part series, which begins in spring and will be the last ever set of episodes after 139 in total.
Former star Anne-Marie Duff - who is married to fellow ex-'Shameless' actor James McAvoy - is to reprise her role as Fiona Gallagher for the final episode eight years after leaving the programme.
The plot will see the Gallagher children Fiona, Lip (Jody Latham) and Carl (Elliot Tittensor) "summoned to show solidarity" for their dad Frank.
