Patsy Kensit grateful for Emmerdale role
Patsy Kensit is still grateful for her role of soap superbitch Sadie King in 'Emmerdale' and admits she learnt "so much" from her co-stars on the ITV1 show
Patsy Kensit felt "blessed" to portray Emmerdale's Sadie King.
The 44-year-old beauty - who portrayed the soap superbitch from 2004 to 2006 - loved starring as the evil schemer before going on to play nurse Faye Byrne in BBC medical drama 'Holby City', and admits she learnt "so much" from her co-stars on the ITV1 show.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The one great thing about being an actress is I love playing different characters and I was really blessed with Sadie King, she was this total bitch and the writing was incredible. I worked with a brilliant cast on 'Emmerdale' and I learnt so much from them. I loved it.
"'Holby' was again a wonderful experience, a very complicated character, but the nice thing is to play different characters."
While Patsy - who has two sons, James, 20, and 13-year-old Lennon from her relationships with Jim Kerr and Liam Gallagher respectively - hasn't ruled out a return to the small screen in the future, she insists any roles will have to comply with her family life.
The blonde beauty - who looks stunning after shedding 17lbs on the Weight Watchers diet - added: "I don't know what the future holds. It will have to work with my family and I'm getting older so who knows what the future may bring.
"I was on 'Emmerdale' for two-and-a-half years and then went straight onto 'Holby' for four-and-a-half years and worked really, really vigorously and it was long hours.
"I've always been a really hands-on mother and two-and-a-half years ago my eldest son was about to be 18 and my youngest was about to become a teenager and I wanted to be with the family, it was really important that I just took that time, so I left 'Holby'."
