Comic stars Jo Brand, Stephen K. Amos and duo Lorna Watson and Ingrid Oliver have all signed up to take part in a Comic Relief edition of 'The Great British Bake Off'
Jo Brand has signed up to take part in a Comic Relief edition of 'The Great British Bake Off'.
The comedienne - who is known for her own Channel 4 TV series, 'Through The Cakehole' - will be joined by stand-up comedian Stephen K. Amos and funny duo Lorna Watson and Ingrid Oliver on the four-part charity edition of the BBC Two series.
The quartet - who are the first of 16 celebrity contestants announced for the show - will aim to impress judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood with their culinary skills as they take part in a number of cooking challenges.
Jo will serve up her delightful black forest cake, and Stephen will be hoping to impress the panellists by producing a more unusual flour-less chocolate and stem ginger cake.
A number of other stars have been linked to the show's special edition - which will be presented by comic duo Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins - including retired soccer star and 'Match of the Day' presenter Gary Lineker.
Comedienne Miranda Hart and former 'Britain's Got Talent' judge Michael McIntyre are also expected to sign up for the charity edition of the main series, which was won by law student John Whaite last year.
The 'Great British Bake Off' Comic Relief special will start on January 21 at 8pm on BBC Two.
