The stars of new reality TV show 'TNA British Boot Camp' admit it was an amazing moment meeting grappling legend Hulk Hogan, who is a judge on the series
'TNA British Boot Camp' star Marty Scurll says meeting Hulk Hogan was a "pinch yourself" moment.
The 24-year-old wrestler - who previously appeared on ITV dating show 'Take Me Out' - is competing on the new wrestling reality TV show along with Rockstar Spud and The Blossom Twins to win a contract with the US company.
Grappling icon Hulk is one of the judges on the programme and Marty admits it was a surreal moment coming face-to-face with his boyhood hero.
Referring to scenes to be aired in tonight's episode, Marty said: "Hulk Hogan is more famous than wrestling itself. It was a pinch yourself moment. I've gone from sitting in my bedroom playing with my Hulk Hogan wresting figure to being on the same show as him and going out and wrestling on the same stage as him."
Fellow contestant Rockstar Spud, 29, revealed Hulk - who has won multiple championships in wrestling and starred in several hit films, including 'Rocky III' and 'Suburban Commando' - had the same awe-inspiring effect on him when the hopefuls were introduced to him in the States.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Hulk was my personal hero, he's a larger than life character and everybody knows who he is. You put in the miles to say you're the winner and if Hulk Hogan, the best the business has ever seen, tells you you're number one in Britain, what bigger compliment can you have?"
Just like their male counterparts, sexy sisters Hannah and Holly Blossom insist Hulk had a big influence on their decision to step into the ring.
The pair also praised the veteran for his support throughout the progamme's challenges.
Hannah said: "He was always around, the first person you would talk to after an event or a challenge. It was a dream come true and also very overwhelming . To have to talk to him about what challenges you just did."
Holly added: "When we were 12 years old we never thought Hulk Hogan would be talking to us about a match we just had."
Viewers can experience the highs and lows of the four competitors as the reality show takes a no holds barred look at their quest to make it as wrestlers.
The winner of the show receives a contract to compete on TNA's flagship TV show 'IMPACT' and the victor will also compete on the 'Road To Lockdown Tour' of the UK and Ireland this month, which culminates with a TV taping at Wembley Arena in London.
The third episode of 'TNA's Wrestling British Boot Camp' airs on
Challenge TV tonight at 10.00pm.
