Corrie's Nick to be haunted by Kylie infidelity
Coronation Street's Nick Tilsley is set to come unstuck later this year following his affair with sister-in-law Kylie Platt, according to 41-year-old star Ben Price.
Ben Price says Nick Tilsley's infidelity will "come back to haunt him".
The 41-year-old 'Coronation Street' star is expecting things to end badly this year for his alter-ego after he slept with sister-in-law Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) over the festive period, and Ben believes that is the only thing stopping him definitely say "yes" when on/off partner Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) asks him to marry her.
He told ITV.com: "Leanne knows a good thing when she sees it and Nick is a good thing.
"She does pursue him because for once he played it straight. Who knows where it's going to go? "Leanne has a big surprise when she asks Nick to marry her.
"He thinks it's dead and gone so when she does that he thinks there's still something there.
"Will he go through with it? I don't know. Without the Kylie stuff he'd maybe jump for it.
"But the Kylie stuff is going to come back and haunt him."
The bad boy bistro boss is set to take his frustrations out on Leanne's ex Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) in dramatic scenes airing tonight (07.01.13), which will see Nick smash up the restaurant and floor Peter.
Ben added: "It's not been a great start to the new year for him at all.
"I think the end of the year was looking pretty rosy and then it all went badly wrong.
"I don't think he knows what his next move is. The Kylie stuff is really playing on his mind.
"Because the audience knows about Nick's dalliance with Kylie, I want them to feel that pain.
"He's not cold. He can't shut off from it - he cares for her so it's really difficult."
