Stacey Solomon loves her 'simple' reputation
Stacey Solomon isn't bothered that the British public consider her to be "scatty" and immature
Stacey Solomon likes being thought of as ditzy.
The 'Love Machine' host doesn't mind her reputation as a "simple" Essex blonde and says she wouldn't want to be perceived any other way as it makes her seem genuine, even though she claims to be much smarter than the public think she is.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "I'm sure people think I'm a bit scatty, not as intelligent as the average person and perhaps a bit immature. I'm smarter than a lot of people give me credit for and I don't mind that image of me, though.
"I like being considered easy-going and a nice, simple girl. I wouldn't want to be thought of any differently."
The 23-year-old star - who placed third on 'The X Factor' in 2009 - is returning for another series of Sky Living's dating show alongside former Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles and she recently revealed she is tickled by some of the excuses contestants give when they don't fancy the eligible men the duo have lined up for them.
She said: "It was hilarious filming 'Love Machine' - Chris Moyles is great. The contestants are just so honest, especially the girls, they're just judging people on appearances so we hear all sorts of excuses - his nose is too big, I don't date gingers, it's hilarious!"
