Tom Daley wants TV presenting career
When Tom Daley hangs up his trunks the Olympic diver is keen to become a TV presenter, so he is glad to be gaining some experience on the small screen as a mentor to a host of celebrities in forthcoming show 'Splash!'
Tom Daley wants to be a TV presenter when he quits diving.
The Olympic bronze medallist - who is a mentor on forthcoming show 'Splash!' - is keen to try his hand at hosting TV shows when he finally gets around to hanging up his trunks.
He said: "When I finish diving, I'd like to be a TV presenter. Being a mentor will give me lots of experience, so I can get to the stage where, after diving, I'll be able to do presenting."
Tom, 18, admits he is "really excited" about his mentoring role on 'Splash!' - which will see him teach celebrities including model Caprice, 'The Only Way is Essex' star Joey Essex and Sugababe Jade Ewen how to dive as they compete against each other - but he will be making sure contestants get their technique spot on.
When asked what advice he will be giving to the celebrities, he added to new! magazine: "To trust what the coaches say. I like the neat diving, so they've got to have their legs together, toes pointed, with their legs straight."
Comedienne Jo Brand, Olympic silver medallist diver Leon Taylor and Team GB coach Andy Banks will join Tom on the judging panel for 'Splash!', which starts on Saturday (05.01.13) on ITV1 at 7:15pm.
