Denise Van Outen injures rib
Denise Van Outen has been left in agony ahead of the 'Strictly Come Dancing' final after dislocating a rib
Denise Van Outen has dislocated a rib training for the 'Strictly Come Dancing' final.
The TV presenter - who is partnered with James Jordan - has been left in agony with the injury and was unable to practise for much of yesterday (21.12.12).
She said: "I've got a dislocated rib so I have to have it put back in today but the doctor.
"We do a lift in our Show Dance and went into one of the lifts awkwardly.
"I will be on ibuprofen and it hurts but it should be OK to dance afterwards."
Her fellow finalist, Kimberley Walsh, suffered the same injury last week but had longer to recover and thinks her pal will struggle as a result.
She said: "It really hurts. Anything that involves stretching it is like you have been winded."
Denise and James have been in the bottom two for the last two weeks, so they know they face a battle to triumph over Kimberley, Dani Harmer, Louis Smith and their professional partners this weekend.
Denise admitted: "We are the most unpopular, we have been in the bottom two the last two weeks.
"There is less pressure on us now in the final because we have got nothing to lose.
"We know what it is like to almost be walking home so I have already pre-booked my cab."
Meanwhile, gymnast Louis - who dances with Flavia Cacace - will be hoping to win over female voters by performing topless.
He said: "It is quite a contemporary dance and because there is strength in the show, it doesn't make sense to do it in baggy trousers and shoes.
"So we have gone with tight trousers and it doesn't make sense to have a top on. When you watch, you will understand why."
