Rachen Shenton set to leave Hollyoaks

Rachel Shenton is leaving 'Hollyoaks'.
The 25-year-old actress, who plays Mitzeee Minniver, is set to leave the award-winning soap in the new year in a storyline which sees Carl Costello (Paul Opacic) enlist her help in extracting revenge on corrupt undercover cop Walker (Neil Newbon) over the death of his son, Mitzeee's boyfriend Riley Costello (Rob Norbury).
Speaking about her departure, Rachel said: "I've had an amazing two years playing Mitzeee. She's been on an incredible journey that's not over yet.
"It's been an absolute privilege to work with the cast and crew that make 'Hollyoaks' such a special place. This has been one of the hardest decisions I've made, but I feel it's time for Mitzeee and myself to move onto pastures new."
Sky News' presenter Eamonn Holmes, 53, makes a cameo appearance as himself, but quite what his role in the storyline will involve is yet to be disclosed.
Rachel added: ""Mitzeee's final week is not to be missed, especially when she finds herself chatting to the fabulous Mr. Holmes!"
Eamonn's guest appearance will air of Channel 4 on 14 February 2013, with a first look on E4 on 13 February.
