Britain's Got Talent to hold Open Auditions Day
'Britain's Got Talent' will hold an open audition at London's The Oval in January following high demand from wannabes around the country
'Britain's Got Talent' will hold an Open Auditions Day at London's The Oval.
Due to high demand for the ITV1 talent show's nationwide auditions, producers have announced a "last chance" audition day - to take place on January 19, 2013 - for the second year in a row.
Last year's auditions at The Oval, in Kennington, south London, attracted more than 6,000 hopefuls and led to the discoveries of two acts who went on to perform on the live semi-final shows - singer Hope Murphy and circus performer Billy George.
Series producer Matt Banks said: "We've already seen thousands of acts but we want to make sure we find the best talent around and this Open Day allows even more people to audition.
"After such a huge year for Great Britain in 2012 we want to keep Britain proud for 2013 by bringing a series packed with talent to ITV1."
The 2013 series will see the return of judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Simon Cowell following the success of the last series, which was won by dancing dog act Ashleigh Butler and her pet pooch Pudsey.
Prospective contestants are invited to apply to audition at www.itv.com/talent or show up on the day.
