Denise Van Outen to quit dancing after Strictly
Denise Van Outen says she wants to leave dancing to her young daughter Betsy when 'Strictly Come Dancing' is over
Denise Van Outen will hang up her dancing shoes after 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The TV presenter - who is competing against Olympian Louis Smith, 'Tracy Beaker' actress Dani Harmer and Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh - has vowed to leave dancing to her two-year-old daughter Betsy once Saturday's live final (22.12.12) is over.
She said: "The problem with dancing with someone as talented as James Jordan is that nobody else will be as good as a partner. So I don't really want to carry on dancing after the show finishes.
"But I'd love Betsy to learn how to dance. There's a school near us that teaches children from the age of four."
The 38-year-old star hopes her and husband Lee Mead's daughter will pick up the skills she herself has learnt over the course of the competition, but has vowed not to become a pushy mother at dance lessons.
Denise added to The Sun newspaper: "It's such a lovely thing to learn because it teaches you respect for your partner and it's a very social activity. So that's what I've taken from this and I want to pass it on to Betsy.
"But I definitely won't be one of those pushy mums who are always on the sidelines telling their kids what to do."
The final four must ballroom dance their way to victory by performing a showdance, a routine chosen by the judges and their own favourite dance of the series.
