Ashleigh Butler thinks Sharon Osbourne is a "sweetie" and the 'Britain's Got Talent' winner is pleased about sitting on the judging panel of Simon Cowell's 'That Dog Can Dance' alongside the 'Talk' host and Bill Bailey

Ashleigh Butler thinks Sharon Osbourne is a "sweetie".

The 17-year-old star, who won 'Britain's Got Talent' with her performing dog Pudsey earlier this year, is thrilled to be a judge on Simon Cowell's 'That Dog Can Dance' - which aims to help find more agile-footed canines - alongside 'The Talk' host and comedy actor Bill Bailey.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "Sharon's lovely - I actually met her when I went over to America and did the 'America's Got Talent'. So it's great meeting her again. She's a real sweetie."

Ashleigh also admitted it felt "weird" to be a judge so soon after being a contestant on 'Britain's Got Talent' in May, but thinks she makes a good panellist as she is focused more on the "technical" aspects of the canines' routines.

She added: "It was filmed in the same studios where we shot 'Britain's Got Talent' so it was really weird actually being on the other side.

"But it was great fun. I knew how the contestants felt because a couple of months ago I was in their shoes. I think it's probably me [who will be the strictest on the panel] because I was the judge who was looking for the technical stuff, not just how cute the dog was, or how cute it looked when it was doing the routine.

"I wouldn't say I was harsh, but I just picked up on a few bits."

Ashleigh and Pudsey are also taking part in this year's Text Santa - a fundraiser set up by ITV to raise money for six charities - and the brunette beauty thinks it is an "amazing" cause.

She explained: "I think the whole of 'Text Santa' is an amazing sort of way to raise money for people who are obviously less fortunate than us."

Several stars have donned onesies and Santa hats to create a unique Christmas music video for Asda's 'Christmas Number Onesie' Text Santa charity campaign including Ashleigh, 'X Factor' runner-up Jahmene Douglas and 'The Only Way is Essex' star Lydia Bright.
