Eddie Redmayne lands sci-fi role
Eddie Redmayne will star opposite channing Tatum and Mila Kunis in forthcoming sci fi movie 'Jupiter Ascending'
Eddie Redmayne is to star in 'Jupiter Ascending'.
The 'Les Miserables' actor will appear opposite Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis in the forthcoming sci-fi adventure, which will be produced and directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski.
The film sees 'Black Swan' actress Mila portray a low-waged Russian immigrant, who finds herself a marked woman after it emerges her DNA is identical to the perfect genetic make-up of the Queen of the Universe.
A bounty hunter - played by Channing - is dispatched to kill the woman but ends up falling for her instead.
Details of what happens next are being kept under wraps, as is information about the character Eddie will play.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in February 2013.
Eddie recently admitted he would love a role in a comic book movie as he loves to "shake up" the types of films he works on.
"I love those films when they're done well. I loved watching Andrew [Garfield] and Emma [Stone] in 'Spider-Man.' I loved watching 'The Dark Knight Rises'. There seems to be an audience now needing satisfaction beyond spectacle.
"From an actor's point of view, that makes it intriguing. I love going to see those films. I also like to shake it up - I just did a musical. I don't like sitting in a box."
