Nicki Minaj tops Beyonce in New Year's Eve fees
Rapper Nicki Minaj is set to rake in a million dollars more than Beyonce when they both take part in lucrative New Year's Eve appearances
Nicki Minaj is reportedly being paid $5 million to host a New Year's Eve party.
The 'Starships' rapper has reportedly commanded $1 million more than R&B superstar Beyonce to host a party in Las Vegas at PURE nightclub, part of Caesars Palace hotel, on December 31.
The 30-year-old star is set to see in 2013 earning the huge amount for the appearance, while Beyonce is rumoured to be making $4 million for an invitation-only concert at the rival Wynn Hotel, also in Vegas.
According to PURE's website: "The rapper, songwriter and television personality will throw a boisterous party as she leads the countdown to midnight and celebrates with partygoers at Las Vegas' top mega-club."
It is unclear whether Nicki - who celebrated her second multi-platinum album this year when 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' topped both US and UK album charts - will perform during her stint.
The New Year's Eve celebration marks the culmination of a big year for the rapper, who also starred in a three-part fly-on-the-wall documentary series, and was appointed a judge on hit show 'American Idol' for which she is expected to earn between $8-12 million.
Meanwhile, Beyonce - who celebrated the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy with rapper husband Jay-Z in January - was ranked number six on Forbes' top earning female music artists of 2012, accumulating $40 million.
