Celebrity Big Brother house gets icy make-over
'Celebrity Big Brother' contestants will arrive in the house to discover it has been turned into a Swedish ice hotel, complete with igloo in the garden.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' house is to be turned into a Swedish ice hotel.
Channel 5 bosses are planning a make-over for the iconic building and the garden will even house a real igloo made of ice blocks and containing fur rugs and blankets.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "This is a first for us. We've never had an igloo before.
"If a couple of celebrities get steamy in there, they just might melt the ice."
Inside the house, seating will be covered with fur rugs, while the kitchen will have a Scandinavian feel with wooden furnishings and a brown and yellow colour scheme. Icicles will hang inside and outside the building, while celebrities will have to go through an arch of ice blocks to enter the diary room.
As well as the igloo, the garden will house a hot tub, swimming pool, silver birch trees and a mural of the Northern Lights.
Among the stars rumoured to be taking part in the new series - which returns to Channel 5 on January 3 - are US reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag, Steps singer Claire Richards, 'X Factor' contestant Rylan Clark and Page 3 model Lacey Banghard.
