Eric Bristow wanted to make kids proud

Eric Bristow did 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' for his children.
The darts legend entered the Australian jungle last month and eventually finished in fourth place and says the reason behind his participation was to make his two kids proud of him.
He said: "I enjoyed my time there - you certainly find out a lot about yourself.
"I went there for my kids - that was the main thing. I was asked to do it before, about six years ago, but it was too near to the World Championships. But now I have retired I thought I should go for it. My kids were really up for me doing it."
While in the jungle, Eric says he was amazed at what a sheltered life actress Helen Flanagan had but insisted there isn't a bad bone in her body.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Helen is lovely. But since the age of nine she has been on TV and she has been mollycoddled. They do her make-up, they do her hair, everything is done for her.
"We were sitting round the fire one night and the girls were talking about doing their hair and she said, 'I can't do my own hair'. She is 22 years of age and can't do her own hair?
"She was spending £385 a month on fake tan, but she doesn't know any better. I asked her why she spent so much on fake tan and she said, 'Because I can'. There is no harm in her, it's just that she doesn't know any better."
