Joan Collins wants Dallas role
Joan Collins wants her scheming 'Dynasty' alter-ego Alexis Carrington to cause some commotion in 'Dallas'
Joan Collins wants to star in 'Dallas'.
The 79-year-old actress is keen for her scheming alter-ego Alexis Carrington - who she portrayed in rival 1980s US soap opera 'Dynasty' - to turn up in the Channel 5 show to cause trouble for the Southfork residents.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "I think it's a brilliant idea. It's a great idea. I love it."
'Dallas' returned to the small screen this year after a 23-year absence, but it was dealt a huge blow last month when Larry Hagman - who was known for portraying evil oil baron J.R. Ewing - died.
The show - which has seen old favourites Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy return as well as the introduction of new talent such as Jesse Metcalfe and Kuno Becker - is also being screened on TNT in the US, and the network recently confirmed J.R. will have a funeral on the show following Larry's passing.
A memorial will take place for the iconic character at some point within the show's next 15-episode series next month.
Joan recently admitted she would love to revive 'Dynasty' and said fellow cast members Pamela Sue Martin, Jack Coleman and John James are "eager" to bring the show back.
She explained: "We would be eager to do it. Look at the success of 'Dallas'.
