Tulisa: I was a better judge this year
Her acts may not have performed as well this year, but Tulisa thinks her own performance on 'The X Factor' judging panel was much better than her first series
Tulisa thinks she was a "better" 'X Factor' judge this year.
Though the 'Young' hitmaker failed to match the success she achieved with her category in her debut series - with her group Little Mix winning in 2011 - this season, she feels she gave a stronger performance on the panel because she was much more confident.
She said: "It's funny because even though I've not been that successful with my acts, as a person, and my level of confidence, are a lot better than I was last year."
Tulisa's act Ella Henderson had been one of the favourites to win the show, but was voted off in week seven, and the N-Dubz star believes the hopeful was a victim of her own talent as viewers didn't feel she needed their voting support.
She told music streaming service Spotify: "I don't think they didn't connect with her, I just think she's one of those acts that people assumed would get through.
"I think people assumed she was safe and she was one of those acts where people would wait until the final to pick up the phone.
"It was a case of having to get her to the final and unfortunately it was just one week where the votes slipped. It was on the week of her best performance as well."
