Kimberley Walsh is grateful her Girls Aloud bandmates have been "amazing and supportive" while she takes part in BBC One show 'Strictly Come Dancing' but admits that performing with the group is "easier" than dancing

Girls Aloud are "amazing and supportive" of Kimberley Walsh in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The 31-year-old beauty is thankful that her bandmates Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding have been there for her while she takes part in the popular BBC One show and confessed that while she loves the dancing, being a pop star is "easier".

When asked on today's (13.12.12) 'Daybreak' whether she will bring some new moves into the group's dance routines she replied: "We might throw a few in there, you never know. They've been amazing, they've been really supportive actually because I have been really busy and they've been really supportive, so that's good.

"[Performing with Girls Aloud has] been fun and that's kind of the easy part - [Strictly] is the harder part."

Kimberley, who is dancing the Charleston and American Smooth on Saturday's (15.12.12) semi-final show with partner Pasha Kovalev, admitted that being in the dance in week six gave her the drive to dance better - gaining a perfect 40 points last week from judges Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Len Goodman.

She added: "We've had a real journey I have to say. It wasn't a nice feeling but it kind of spurred us on. And then I really feel like we've grown a little by little each week and I think we've improved."

Although Kimberley has tried practicing her moves at home with boyfriend Justin Scott, he thinks she's turned a bit "crazy" with her busy schedule,

She explained: "I tried [to practice with him] at first and he was like, 'No, when you get home, just chill out.' I think he thinks I'm a bit crazy with taking on so many things but he's really supportive."

'Strictly Come Dancing' is on BBC One at 6.30pm on Saturday.
