Dr Who star joins Scottish charity campaign
Dr Who star David Tennant has pledged his support for a world renowned Scottish cancer charity, keen to help promote its groundbreaking work.
As patron of the Association for International Cancer Research, Tennant will join fellow Scots The Proclaimers, Lorraine Kelly and actor Peter Capaldi in raising the organisation’s profile.
Chief executive Norman Barrett praised the actor for joining their cause: “As Dr Who, David is expert at fighting aliens: we hope his support will help us in the biggest medical fight we face – the fight against cancer.”
Tennant, who is currently filming a Dr Who Christmas special with Kylie Minogue, said: “I know only too well that cancer strikes without regard to age or race, country or creed, fame or fortune.”
