An iconic 'This Morning' sofa is going up for auction in aid of ITV's Text Santa.

The red settee - which has seated several star guests including Will Smith and Mariah Carey - will go under the hammer in a sale for the charity appeal along with 'X Factor' memorabilia signed by last night's (09.12.12) winner James Arthur, and fellow finalists Jahmene Douglas and Christopher Maloney.

Other lots in the Text Santa eBay auction - which starts today (10.12.12) and is the first of a number of sales throughout December - include specially designed Christmas cards by Nicole Scherzinger and Alan Titchmarsh and an exclusive tour and set visit of the 'Daybreak' studios.

'Dancing On Ice' fans might like to bid for a 30-minute one-to-one skating lesson with World Champion skaters Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean and keen bookworms will no doubt be interested in Jackie Collins' signed collection of some of her most talked about novels.

Fans of 'Emmerdale' can bid for the chance to re-enact a scene in the ITV1 soap's famous Woolpack pub with a castmember, while budding TV journalists can secure a spot in front of the camera at the ITV News studio, where they will conduct an interview and have a go at presenting in an hour-long presenter training session.

The live extravaganza will air on December 21 and be presented by 'This Morning' co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, as well as Ant and Dec, Paddy McGuinness and Christine Bleakley.

Viewers will be able to donate money throughout the campaign via text using JustTextGiving by Vodafone. Donate £5 to the appeal by texting SANTA to 70070.

All funds raised for Text Santa 2012 will be distributed equally between Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Carers UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Together for Short Lives and Whizz-Kidz.
