James Arthur enjoyed a "real celebration" with his family after winning 'The X Factor'.

The 24-year-old singer was crowned winner of the talent show last night (09.12.12), beating Jahmene Douglas into second place, and feels "very proud" of his achievements.

He said: "I did a little bit of partying - but I'm awake though!

"I just had a couple of beers and saw my family and friends and took several million pictures... It was a real celebration and a few emotional moments with my family. They can't believe how far I've come - I feel very proud. It's just been amazing."

James - whose debut single 'Impossible' has already topped the iTunes chart - promised his album will be "really honest" and he will only release material that he is happy with.

Speaking on 'This Morning', he said: "I think you're going to get a really honest piece of work. I've got a lot to say. I've got a lot of lyrics, I've had songs that I've accumulated over the years about my journey in life so I guess you'll get a bit of a story and some nice melodies and something that's easy on the ear hopefully!

"I will definitely be having control over everything that happens, I will have creative control and the artistic license - if that's not the case, then I wouldn't put anything out that I didn't believe in."
