'Geordie Shore' star Ricci Guarnaccio has branded 'The Valleys' fake and said its stars are only copying his show.
'Geordie Shore' star Ricci Guarnaccio has branded 'The Valleys' fake.
The hunk - who recently called of his engagement with co-star Vicky Pattison - says the rival Welsh reality TV show's stars are only trying to outdo him and his co-stars, but can't realistically compete with the storylines or "banter" on his show.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "Everything they do is for attention. The characters on their show are trying to beat the people in our show.
"They've obviously watched the show and are trying to outdo it and do one better than us.
"With ours there's more of a storyline. You always get the drama, the banter. What you see is what you get, they're not being themselves."
'The Valleys' - which follows nine wannabes who leave the Welsh valleys and try to make a name for themselves in the bright lights of Cardiff - hit the headlines when it first aired due to the graphic scenes of nudity and arguing between the cast, which included wannabe stylist Nicole, self-proclaimed "only gay in the village" Liam and aspiring glamour model Jenna.
The show has recently been commissioned for a second series, and producers have promised it will be even more extreme.
'The Valleys' boss Jordan Reed said: "Watch out as we'll be upping the ante for series two and bringing in some new faces. It's time to shape up or ship out!"
