Keira Knightley is adamant she won't be playing Anastasia Steele in the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' adaptation after her raunchy experience filming 'A Dangerous Method'
Keira Knightley has scoffed at the idea of starring in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
The 27-year-old actress will "definitely" not be starring in the hotly-anticipated adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel, which details S&M-crazed billionaire Christian Grey's relationship with young student Anastasia Steele.
Asked whether her next film project would be a more risque literary adaptation than she has done in the past, Keira insisted: "No, it's not. It's not going to be 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' You know, I normally don't like to give a definite about anything, [but] I can definitely say it will not be 'Fifty Shades of Grey'."
The brunette beauty says her days of stripping off on screen are over after playing sexually confused patient Sabrina Spielrein in David Cronenberg's historial drama about the advent of psychoanalysis, which saw Keira being spanked by therapist Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender).
The 'Jack Ryan' star is adamant she won't be taking on an even raunchier role as naïve Anastasia and admits she is too embarrassed to even pick up 'Fifty Shades'.
She laughed: "I can't imagine why [I would want to]! Um, I haven't even read it yet, actually. I mean, just from [what I've heard], friends who've gotten into it, and I've gone, 'No'. I did 'A Dangerous Method'. That had a bit of all that in it. I don't think I need to do it again."
Keira previously confessed she had to practice her sex faces for two whole days in order to perfect her part in 'A Dangerous Method'.
She joked: "I worked with that and sat in my bathroom and pulled faces at myself for two days. Then I got on Skype with David and went, 'I've come up with this' or 'I've come up with that' and he went, 'that one!'"
