Tom, 22, studied at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, and made his TV debut on 'Later ... With Jools Holland' last month.
He said: "I feel privileged to be in the same company as previous nominees of the caliber of Adele, Emeli Sande and Michael Kiwanuka."

They said: "We both feel incredibly honoured to be shortlisted for this award. It's a great feeling to have our music recognised in such a big way."
