Celebrity Big Brother launch date revealed
Channel 5 have confirmed 'Celebrity Big Brother' will return for a new series on January 5
'Celebrity Big Brother' will return on January 3.
The popular reality TV show will be one of the highlights of Channel 5's new season of programming and will again see former winner Brian Dowling on hosting duty.
A tweet from the show's official Twitter account read: "Well, the cat's well and truly out of the bag... Celebrity Big Brother returns to @channel5_tv on Thursday 3rd January at 9pm. Woop! #CBB (sic)"
Emma Willis will also return to host spin-off show 'Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side'.
While it hasn't been announced who will take part in the show yet, it was recently claimed that Katie Price - whose ex-husband Alex Reid won 'CBB' in 2010 - has been approached.
A source said: "Signing up Katie would be a massive coup for ['Celebrity Big Brother'] and bosses are really keen to get her to sign on the dotted line.
"They have given her the option of going in the new series or the one in the summer."
Her friend Rylan Clark, 23 - who was axed from 'The X Factor' last month - has also been approached about starring in the show.
The insider added: "Producers have also approached Rylan and the pair of them in the house together would be hilarious.
"But there would be pressure on Katie to win as she wouldn't want to play second fiddle to Alex, who won in 2010."
