Michael Vaughan vows to thrill Strictly crowd

Michael Vaughan has promised to "get the crowd going" when he competes on 'Strictly Come Dancing' tonight (01.12.12).
The former England cricketer and his professional partner Natalie Lowe were thrilled to dance their way through to the next stage of the competition last weekend and this week Michael, 38, plans to pull out all the stops for his samba dance after training the "hardest" he ever has.
He said: "For the samba I've been training the hardest ever. We came in on Sunday and did eight hours, with another eight on both
Monday and Tuesday then 10 hours on Wednesday and a few hours to finalise it on Thursday.
"We're dancing to [Fifties Latin rock'n' roll classic] 'Tequila' by The Champs. It's very catchy, and will get the crowd going. There's not crowd participation exactly at the start, but we'll get them going. You'll see what I mean."
Michael doesn't pay much attention to the routines of his fellow competitors and prefers to focus on his own moves rather than worry about the competition.
He added in an online diary entry for the Daily Telegraph website: "I didn't actually see Dani Harmer's samba last week, for comparison. You kind of only half watch the other couples when you're in the live show.
"Your head's so much on making sure you're getting your own dance right. I'm not worried someone else could put me off, though. I really don't give a damn. I'm just trying the best I can in my own dance, I
can't control anything else."
'Strictly Come Dancing' is on BBC One tonight (01.12.12) at 6.50pm.
