Strictly Christmas special line-up announced
All-star favourites such as Rachel Stevens and Kelly Brook will take part in the 'Strictly Come Dancing' Christmas special alongside ballroom dancing newbies including Fabrice Muamba.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' Christmas special line-up has been revealed.
The one-off seasonal special episode hosted by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly will feature six brand new celebrities taking to the dancefloor for the first time, as well as nine all-star favourites from previous series - including Rachel Stevens, Chelsee Healey, Natasha Kaplinsky, Kelly Brook, Chris Hollins, Tom Chambers and Colin Jackson - performing a spectacular group number.
Fan favourites Ann Widdecombe and Russell Grant will also be putting in an appearance and showcasing their moves in a laugh-a-minute routine.
The brand new crop of celebrities set to don their dancing shoes include football star Fabrice Muamba, actress Sheila Hancock, JLS singer J.B. Gill, entertainer Bobby Ball, comedienne Katy Brand and TV presenter Helen Skelton.
Miracle footballer Muamba - who retired from the sport earlier this year after suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch - is already limbering up in preparation for the Christmas festivities.
He recently said: "This is definitely the hardest thing I have done since my recovery. I'm feeling good now. I've already been training with Aliona [Vilani] for a week and there are no complaints.
"But I have a new respect for dancers. I have always been a massive fan of 'Strictly' so it is a pleasure to take part."
The studio audience will ultimately decide who should take home the title of 'Strictly Come Dancing' Christmas Champions 2012.
Popular crooner Rod Stewart will help get people into the festive spirit by performing a rendition of fireside favourite 'Let It Snow'.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' Christmas special airs on Christmas Day (25.12.12) on BBC One.
