Paul Greengrass is set to direct and produce a new crime thriller starring George Clooney, written by 'Argo' screenwriter Chris Terrio
Paul Greengrass will direct George Clooney in a new crime thriller.
The 'Bourne Ultimatum' director has signed up to helm and produce a currently untitled film by screenwriter Chris Terrio and George, with help from fellow producer Grant Heslov, is set to produce and star in the film.
Variety reports the project is being developed by Sony, where George and fellow producer Grant Heslov's Smoke House banner is getting a first glimpse at the script - an original plot following the life of New York criminal syndicates.
George and Grant previously worked with Chris on his blockbuster thriller 'Argo', which was directed by and starred Ben Affleck and put Chris on Variety's list of '10 Screenwriters to Watch' list.
Chris has been busy over the last year and has just finished the first draft of the New York-based remake of French thriller 'Tell No One' for Warner Bros.
He has already started writing a new film titled 'A Murder Foretold', set to be produced by Mark Roybal and Steve Zaillian for Paramount Pictures.
George can next been seen in Alfonso Cuaron's thriller 'Gravity' alongside Sandra Bullock and is also in the pipeline to star in Brad Bird's '1952' for Disney, as well as preparing to direct 'The Monuments Men' for Sony.
