X Factor to introduce live voting results
Simon Cowell wants to win back 'X Factor' viewers by introducing the results of each week's public vote live on next year's series of ITV1 talent show.
Simon Cowell will introduce the results of each week's 'X Factor' public vote live on next year's series.
The music mogul is hoping the decision will prove the ITV1 talent show isn't a fix and help win back sceptical viewers after fans were left outraged when favourite Ella Henderson was voted out of the competition on Sunday (18.11.12), while seemingly-unpopular Christopher Maloney is still in the running.
An insider said: "If the viewers knew popular acts like Ella and James Arthur were pulling in low numbers of votes it would encourage them to pick up the phone.
"Revealing the voting numbers each week has really brought a dynamic to the US show. Simon is looking to introduce it in the UK next year as part of a major shake-up."
Meanwhile, flamboyant contestant Rylan Clark is reportedly finding it tough to deal with vicious Twitter trolls, who are sending him messages about his sexuality as well as struggling with his mum's Crohn's disease and suffering continual criticism from 'X Factor' judge Gary Barlow.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Rylan is gutted about his mum's illness and the stress of being on the show and all the abuse he has been getting just got to him."
The 'X Factor' wannabe hit back at criticism from Gary on Twitter yesterday (22.11.12), but has since deleted the messages.
He tweeted: "I'd rather be absolute sh*** than just stand there and sing the same old stuff every week on the spot. (sic)"
