Brian Conley has quit 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
The 51-year-old comedian left the Australian jungle yesterday (19.11.12) due to ill health, but a spokesperson for the show did not give specific details.
An ITV representative said only: "Brian Conley has left the jungle for medical reasons."
Hosts Ant and Dec made only a brief mention of his departure at the start of last night's highlights show.
Brian's spokesperson was also mystified by his exit.
He said: "It's a shock. I don't know anything at this stage."
It is believed show bosses initially thought Brian was just struggling to cope amid tough conditions of limited food and horrific weather, with thunderstorms hitting the camp regularly.
However, medics were called in when it became clear it was something more serious.
While it is unclear whether Brian is in hospital or a hotel, his wife Anne-Marie and daughters Amy, 15, and Lucy, 10, have flown out to Australia to be with him.
The comic actor had been one of the favourites to win this year's show and had even undergone therapy to help cure his phobia of rats before entering the jungle.
