Nicky Byrne's sons cry at Strictly criticism
Nicky Byrne's twin five-year-old sons, Jay and Rocco, break down in tears when he gets criticised by the judges on 'Strictly Come Dancing', but the Westlife singer insists his boys love watching him on the BBC One show
Nicky Byrne's children break down in tears when he is criticised on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 34-year-old star has twin five-year-old sons, Jay and Rocco, with his wife of nine years, Georgina Ahern, but the youngsters tend to get upset when they are watching their father compete on the BBC One show because they think the singer and his wife are the "best thing in the world".
He said: "Once, the babysitter told me one of the lads had tears in his eyes while Daddy was onscreen
getting criticised by the judges! They're at that age when daddies and mummies are the best thing in the world!"
While his boys are sometimes upset by 'Strictly Come Dancing', Nicky - who is partnered with professional dancer Karen Hauer on the show - admits they mostly love watching him compete on the programme and have even mastered impressions of judges Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman.
He added to new! magazine: "Every Sunday they wake me up and they'll be repeating everything the judges said.
"They've got great Bruno impressions going on and they've got Len's 'seven!' down to a tee! They want Daddy to do well."
