Richard Arnold voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing'
Richard Arnold has become the sixth celebrity to be voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing' after landing in the bottom two with Nicky Byrne
Richard Arnold has become the sixth celebrity to be booted off 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The TV personality was voted off the BBC series tonight (18.11.12) after he and professional dance partner Erin Boag failed to impress the judges with their salsa in front of 6,000 people at Wembley arena where the charity special show took place as part of Children In Need.
Judges Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli unanimously opted to save former Westlife star Nicky Byrne and his partner Karen Hauer - who landed in the bottom two with Richard - because their dance was more energetic.
Sending Richard home, Craig said: "Just for sheer exuberance and energy, I am going to save Nicky and Karen."
Bruno agreed, saying: "Both highly entertaining, but I have to go as well with power and content, and that was delivered by Nicky & Karen."
The 'Daybreak' presenter said he really enjoyed his time on the show and was admitted it had improved his public image.
He said: "I've loved it. Do you know what is amazing about this experience is that this party is happening in millions of homes around the country. The one thing I'll take from it is that now when I walk down the street people no longer cross the road to avoid me! Now they smile, they want to chat. It's been amazing."
His dance partner, Erin added: "Richard has made the last two months of my life a big joy. He's full of life and full of energy, and I'm really proud to have taught him, and to have danced with you. And to call you my friend."
Tonight's show saw contestant Kimberley Walsh take to the stage with her group Girls Aloud to perform their new song 'Something New' on stage and Kylie Minogue also performed her classic hit 'The Locomotion'.
