The Killers want their show at Wembley Stadium in London next year to be a "fan friendly" affair

The Killers want their Wembley Stadium concert to be "fan friendly".

The group recently announced they will play their biggest UK gig at the London venue in June 2013 but have pledged not to follow other bands in making the ticket prices too high for some people to afford.

Drummer Ronnie Vannucci said: "We do our best to keep things out of the sky, to keep prices low for T-shirts and s**t like that.

"We've gotten into many p***ing matches trying to keep gigs as fan friendly as possible, and we'll do the same with Wembley."

The Rolling Stones caused some upset earlier this year after they announced tickets for their four shows in London and New Jersey, US, would cost between £95 and £375.

While The Killers are keen to do something special at their show, they don't want to go overboard with special effects.

Ronnie added to NME Magazine: "It's all about crowd participation. People don't just want to come along and listen to the record live.

"I think 'When You Were Young' [will sound best]. Songs like that just play themselves after a while - the crowd becomes the battery.

"We're getting a bit more experimental with our setlists, but hopefully by the time we get to Wembley, we'll have figured out what's working and what's not working."

"We'll have s**t going on. But it's a fine line. When do you stop being The Killers and turn into Kiss?"
