The Saturdays are confident they can crack America - just like One Direction.

The group spent three months in the US filming reality show 'Chasing The Saturdays' for E! Entertainment Television and are sure the series can help them have a similar impact Stateside to the all-conquering boy band and soul singer Adele.

When asked whether they think they can match the success of other British artists in America, Frankie Sandford told BANG Showbiz: "Yeah we hope so. Especially with E! behind us and our new label - we've just signed with Mercury over there. I think it's all boys doing well over there at the minute other than Adele. They need a girl band over there right now."

The girls - Frankie, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Una Healy and Vanessa White - were thrilled with the response they got from Los Angeles residents while in the city and with their highlight performing their first headline US concert at The Roxy club.

Mollie gushed: "Everyone is lovely. We had our own headline show out there as well so that was a really big moment for us. The reception's been great so far."
