Gemma Collins eyes up I'm a Celebrity
'The Only Way is Essex' star Gemma Collins wants to be a contestant on 'I'm a Celebrity' and claims she would face the terrifying trials like a "professional"
Gemma Collins wants to take part in 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star would like to follow in the footsteps of former cast mate Mark Wright by entering the Australian jungle and thinks she would make a brilliant contestant on the ITV1 reality show.
Gemma told the Huffington Post: "I would like to razzle dazzle in 'Strictly Come Dancing' but I'd like to go into the jungle first. I would love to do that."
The former car saleswoman insisted she could handle the show's gruesome challenges, which include eating kangaroo testicles and lying in a coffin filled with creepy crawlies, and would be just as tough-skinned as last year's runner-up Mark.
The 31-year-old blonde added: "I'd go for the trials 100 per cent - us Essex people are committed. I'd be professional as Amy Childs would say. I would jump at the chance. I would be on that plane quicker than they could get me on it. I would love it."
'I'm a Celebrity' recently kicked off its 12th series with celebrities including 'Eastenders' actress Charlie Brooks, 'Coronation Street' diva Helen Flanagan and champion boxer David Haye. The show's launch topped the ratings on Sunday (11.11.12) with 10.3 million viewers tuning in.
