Although it falls two days before the traditional Hogmanay blow-out, this Saturday night guest appearance by Mills at Jackhammer will be the highlight of quite probably Edinburgh’s biggest party over the seasonal period. ‘He’s got his own style and he’s obviously one of the inventors of techno, or certainly the harder minimal style,’ says Mclarnon excitedly. ‘We’ve got him for a three hour set so it should be more of a musical journey. Now based between the Caves and the Liquid Room, this late-licensed eight-hour show will also feature two other Jackhammer favourites on guest duties, Slam and Ben Sims.
