Georgia Taylor has joined the cast of 'Law & Order: UK'.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress will play defence barrister-turned-Crown Prosecutor Kate Barker, a headstrong female who is set to infuriate her new associate Chief Prosecutor Jacob Thorne (Dominic Rowan).
Paterson Joseph is also the joining the cast of the ITV1 drama, taking on the role of DI Wes Leyton, who has been in the police force since the age of 18.
The first two episodes of the new eight-part series will be a compelling two-part story written by Emilia di Girolamo with the second episode exploring 'a day in the life' of the characters.

Meanwhile, it was recently claimed Georgia could also be returning to 'Coronation Street' to reprise her role as Toyah Battersby.
A source said: "There has been talk for a few months now that Toyah's character could return - which would be ¬brilliant news for Georgia who loved being in Corrie all those years ago.
"There is endless scope for terrific storylines with her step-sister Leanne (Jane Danson)."
She first joined the soap in 1997 as part of the troubled Battersby family, and left in 2003.
