Anne Hathaway has confirmed she will star in 'Robopocalypse'.
The 'One Day' star says she will appear in the sci-fi thriller after receiving a call from director Steven Spielberg and the brunette beauty insists she will never turn down an offer to be in one of his projects.
She told Empire magazine: "If 'Robopocalypse' happens I will be in it, and I believe it's quite real, though you never want to hang your hat on anything.
"Whenever I'm taking time off, I always joke to my team that I'm on vacation unless Steven Spielberg calls. And I was on vacation and Spielberg called. So I was like, 'OK, put my money where my mouth is'."
Drew Goddard wrote the script based on Daniel H. Wilson's sci-fi novel, which had Spielberg so excited he agreed to direct before the book was even published this June.
The film will begin seeing humanity waking up to a robot revolution ran by a malevolent artificial intelligence known as 'Archos'.
Anne will play the lead female role alongside 'Skyfall' actor Ben Whishaw and 'Avengers Assemble' star Chris Hemsworth, who was sought after by Spielberg after making a good impression when they met.
'Robopocalypse', co-financed by DreamWorks and Fox, is scheduled to begin filming early 2013 and is slated for release on April 25, 2014.
