John Barrowman wants Doctor Who return
John Barrowman is desperate to return to the role of Captain Jack Harkness for the 50th anniversary of 'Doctor Who'
John Barrowman would return to 'Doctor Who' at "the drop of a hat".
The 'Desperate Housewives' star played the role Captain Jack Harkness in the BBC sci-fi show and it's spin-off 'Torchwood', and he reveals he would love to be involved in the show's 50th anniversary next year - but has yet to be asked.
He told TV Choice magazine: "There was a rumour online that I'm not able to do it because of my schedule. But actually, I haven't been asked. So it's nothing to do with that.
"I have time. I've always said if they ask me to do 'Doctor Who' or 'Torchwood' again, I would do it at the drop of a hat."
Matt Smith has already confirmed he will be playing the role of the Doctor for the birthday.
John played the role of Captain Jack from 2006 to 2011, but writer Russell T Davies has confirmed any future series of 'Torchwood' is currently in limbo.
He said: "It's not officially cancelled - it's in a nice limbo where it can stew. Those shows can come back in 10, 20 years time."
