The 'Geordie Shore' cast want to keep living it up on MTV's hit reality show until their livers give out and think they can outlive their American counterpart show
The 'Geordie Shore' cast think they can beat 'Jersey Shore's success.
The party-loving stars of MTV's hit reality show have pledged to stay on the show as long as their livers can "hang on" and want to outlive Snooki and co's legacy when the US series comes to an end this year after six seasons.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, James Tindale said: "I definitely think there's a lot more to give, every series people keep warming to the show and we get a lot more viewers. This series is even better than the last so I think we can keep going for longer."
Ricci Guarnaccio chimed in: "We'll see how long our livers hang on for!"
The gang - also comprising Gary 'Gaz' Beadle, Sophie Kasaei, Vicky Pattison, Holly Hagan and Charlotte-Letitia Crosby- are back in Newcastle for a fourth series and think the addition of new boys Scott Timlin and Daniel Thomas-Tuck to the mix has made up for the loss of the house's 'dad' figure Jason 'Jay' Gardner.
Vicky - who got engaged to Ricci after a romantic proposal in Cancun - explained: "You really feel [Jay's loss] and it is a real dent in the show and its dynamic, but we've got two excellent new lads in who've brought in loads of great banter so it doesn't affect us at the moment."
The brunette beauty was less complimentary about fellow departing cast member Rebecca Walker, however, and quipped: "It really pleases me that she's left, because I thought she was a little d**k. We've moved on."
Vicky is adamant the original cast won't be leaving any time soon and worries if more were to leave like on 'The Only Way Is Essex', the show would fall apart.
She said: "If more characters were to leave it would really affect the show. That's what's so nice about it. We're all close, we're all friends in real life. I think the show would really suffer and I don't think the audience would like a whole new cast."
The new series of 'Geordie Shore' kicks off tonight (06.11.12) on MTV at 10pm.
