Laura Whitmore wants Ant and Dec to be 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' contestants.

The 27-year-old presenter - who co-hosts spin-off show 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! NOW!' with Joe Swash - thinks making the presenting duo experience jungle life for real would be very entertaining.

Asked who her dream contestant would be, she said: "I would say Ant and Dec - take them out of their comfort zone."

Laura thinks the show is fascinating for viewers because celebrities quickly let their real selves show, rather than trying to maintain a "facade" of likeability.

She said: "You can't keep up a facade in there. For a while, you can pretend to get along with everyone but then you don't get any food, everyone gets a bit cranky, you don't get the stars [prizes in the Bushtucker Trials] you want and you really see it. They go a bit mental."

And despite being heavily involved with the programme, Laura insists she remains clueless about the contestant line-up until the show starts.

She said in an interview with the latest issue of new! magazine: "We basically find out when the show starts. Or when I ring up home and ask what the papers are saying. We know nothing.

"They do have little nicknames for the celebs. Last year, they said bug but they meant Dougie [Poynter] from McFly so you can try and work it out."
